About

Frame Notes is a small editorial notebook about photography: how light shapes a subject, how a frame changes an ordinary scene, and how an edit can make an image clearer without making it louder.

These are short exercises and ways of looking, not equipment reviews or accounts of commissioned work. Suggested settings are starting points, not measured guarantees. The useful question is always what a choice does to the photograph in front of you.

The emphasis is on everyday subjects, respectful distance, and repeatable practice. No special camera is required; a phone with a familiar camera app is enough for most of the exercises.

Start with the edge of window light, browse the notebook archive, or follow the RSS feed. There are no ads, affiliate links, or tracking scripts.
